Happy Birthday Austin!
One Year OldSaturday morning Emma came stumbling into my bathroom still in her jammies and happily announced that it was Austin's birthday! It was a big day in my mind, but much bigger in hers. She excitedly exclaimed, "Today Austin is going to WALK and TALK and WE ARE GOING TO GET A DOG!"
Unfortunately, none of those things happened. Around dinnertime Emma looked at me and said, "Is it night?"
I said, "It's getting close, it's dinnertime".
She said, "Austin is STILL NOT WALKING!"
Austin was not shy about his cake, and I think he really likes chocolate! Yum!
That's right, don't miss any of that frosting. (Hunter frosted his cake, I thought it turned out pretty cute.)

He IS so sweet! I love that Emma had such high expectations - I am totally laughing.
Oh, he is such an adorable child. And those EYES. Wow. I loved watching him crawl on Sunday; he has such a powerful gate. You are so blessed to have such a happy healthy fellow.
I agree with Tara, where has this year gone? He is the most beautiful little boy and we can't wait to watch him grow up...and play football (or rugby), let's be honest...he's pretty solid! Happy Birthday Austin!

Emma is such a crack up. That cake looks delicious, makes me think we should all have our very own cake to devour every year.
Oh my goodness, Austin is SOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!! Emma is just as cute with all of the ambitious mile stone hopes for the day, funny! Looks like the cake was a hit.

Wow he's one?!!! All your kids are so cute! And you are so brilliant to feed him his cake outside! I was never that smart with my 4...guess it isn't too late to start now huh? Happy Birthday Austin!!

He has such a little angel face. He is seriously one of the sweetest little babies I have ever met. How fun for Austin to have 3 older siblings that just adore him!
