Getting ready for family pictures is no simple task. Moms have to worry about all sorts of things like timing, what to wear (for 6 people head to toe), haircuts, best smiles, happy kids, clear schedules, etc...
Saturday we were all set and ready for our photo session. I got up early and got everyone showered and looking their best. The clouds were gray, but we got ready anyway. Right as we were ready to leave, it started to rain. Seriously.....
I was so bummed. All that work, for nothing.
We rescheduled.. again.
Meanwhile, everyone looked so nice so we decided to set up our camera with the timer and take a few pictures anyway. We stood under tall trees and shelters and made the best of a rainy morning.

I know the work you went to for these!!! I can't believe you had to re-schedule again! But these pictures are still so cute, we (Olivia) loves Hunters funny face, the girls in the "attitude" picture and Austin in his solo picture with his hands in his pockets! There are still so many good ones!!!
Okay, what a nightmare! Pictures are the very hardest for the mom and I can't imagine having to do it over and over! That said, you did get some great photos. That Austin with his hands in his pockets kills me.
I saw the one family pic on Facebook but after seeing all these, I don't think you should even bother to reschedule because these that you took turned out great! Everyone looks so cute and you captured some great shots! I'm impressed.
What a ham little Austin is! So cute! I think they all turned out so fun and adorable!
Cute pictures - I also love that Austin has his little hands in his pockets. Hunter looks completely different though! It must have been a while since I've seen him, but he's a totally different kid - is it that he no longer has his front baby teeth, or is his hair darker? They are all growing up too quickly!
These turned out fantastic, wow! Your bad luck wasn't really that bad- these are great pictures. Everyone looks great. Austin looks 2 going on 10, with his hands in his pocket and an adorable grin on his face. He is so darn cute. The self-timer helps my kids to look at the camera, too. All the beeping and flashing is a real attention grabber.
These are beautiful pictures!!! Great lighting and color. Oh the fun sorting through 600+ pictures of the ones you love mostest! I can't believe how big those kids are getting seeing them standing together.
I am impressed that you guys got these pictures all on your own; they are great! I love little Austin's laughing ones.
I'm sorry you had to reschedule though. Family pictures are A LOT of work.
Oh, and your Hawaii vacation looked wonderful! What a fun trip for the two of you.
These fam pictures you all took by yourselves look great! We did the same thing with our last fam picture we used for our Christmas card last year. Really there's probably no need to reschedule professional photos, just get them enlarged at Costco and call it a day. You really captured some great shots just as good as any. On a side note, hope the tummys are all feeling better since the Memorial Day campig outing.
