This year he dug up his old garden box and tried a new square box method. Here he is with the kids earlier in the summer.

This is what it looks like now.

We've been getting the most delicious berries (probably my favorite part of summer so far). My kids and their friends eat them all day long.

One of the things I love the most about Jared and his passion for working in the garden is that he involves our children and helps them to see the fun amidst all the hard work. They love helping him and I think they might grow up to have his same love for gardening. Linsey even joined a gardening club at school last year. He gets them started young. I love this picture from a few years ago. They are planting seeds to eventually go out in the garden we had out in our backyard.

Many of you know that I love potatoes and claim them as my favorite food. These home grown potatoes are the absolute best!
The green thumb doesn't stop with the garden either. Jared works hard in our yard and does a great job keeping it nice. He even won an award a few years ago for our neighborhood lawn and garden contest.
I sure appreciate all his hard work. I don't have a green thumb, but I love all the yummy produce we get from our garden and the fresh cut flowers in my kitchen all summer long. This works out really well for me. Thanks Jared!

What a pretty garden - I am impressed!
It all looks so wonderful! And I know how much work that all would be. Lucky you!
How beautiful Camille!!
All I can say is, "I'm jealous!" Jared, I hope you'll bring your green thumb over our way when we finally get around to putting our garden in. Yours is beautiful!
It's always a great accomplishment if you can see the progress and result of such hard work. What a lucky family to have such a great dad & husband. The garden looks great and I'm sure the produce tastes even better...
I've always loved your yard (from pictures). It's my dream to one day have a nice yard... sigh... I'm totally impressed with Jared's green thumb. The fresh produce sounds delicious! Your summer fun entry looks great too! I'm impressed with the fishermen! :)
How pretty Camille! You aught to be glad I don't live closer or I'd jump your fence and rob you of your and Jared's veggies! Yum!
Hey Camille! We love to check out your blog to see how you guys are doing. Nice yard/garden. That's too much work for me.
Very impressive. Does Jared hire out!? How does he like the square gardens? They look like they take a lot of room. We are going to rip out our garden boxes and are trying to decide what to do. I love being able to go out my back door for fresh produce. I haven't braved raspberries or blueberries. They look yummy.
Oh man you always have the best pictures ever! Great!
Jared does a great job with the garden/yard. I'm sad summer is almost over!
