Here's the crazy bunch!
Of course there are all the normal camping things to do that are fun for kids. Catching bugs..
exploring trails and balancing on logs...
and just plain being silly.
We set up a shooting range for the kids to test out their sling shot skills. Even little Emma was able to hit a target once or twice. You should have seen her squeal.
There is a water slide at the ranch that is available for campers to use. Really it's just a giant tarp with a soaker hose at the top, creating the perfect water activity for a hot day. It was a huge hit. I think we were there for 4 hours.
Linsey even caught a fish with her bare hands in one of the little puddles on the tarp. I'm sure that made her dad proud.
There were also horses available for the kids to ride.

I think Emma was the most excited to get on her horse!
She also had to show that she could do the "no hands" thing too.
The dads went canoeing out on the lake one afternoon and even came back with a fish. We simply ran out of time to take all the kids out, but we did take a bike ride around the lake.
It was a beautiful place, the weather was perfect, and everyone had fun! We can't wait to go back next year!

What a fun time Camille! How nice too that your kids have cousins similar in ages to your kids. That makes every family get together more fun for sure!

Sounds like loads of fun. At our girls camp we had a slide of similar design that had a big bump at the end - sort of like a speed bump to stop anyone who was going too fast. On the other side was a disgusting puddle of stagnant water with frogs and other creatures. The girls accidentally went over the bump. At first they were upset then they tried to do it again and again.
Ok, I just looked through your pictures again and I totally missed Jared's goofy face in the first picture, the first time around. I noticed all the cute kids pulling faces, but Jared just cracked me up when I saw it. Hehehe. nice pictures! Good memories for scrapbookin' huh?!!
I know, I just had to put that one in. ha ha..
I wish we would have done the Ensign Ranch this year, I totally forgot about it! Matts brother was on a service mission there last year so we went to visit & the kids had a blast as well. Looks like your family had a good time, we'll have to remember that for next year! Great pictures.
