This weekend it rained... lots!

I don't mind the rain. Living in Seattle, you get used to it. When I first moved here, someone told me that you should always keep an umbrella with you because if it's not raining when you leave, it will be by the time you come home.
This weekend was definitely one where you wouldn't want to be caught without an umbrella.
I volunteered to be a
chaperon for Hunter's class field trip on Friday. Waking up to gray clouds and rain wasn't ideal for me, but the kids sure thought it was great!

What kid doesn't like mud? I felt really bad for the kids who didn't have rain boots.

This farm was really cute. The kids learned about apples and got to make apple cider,

dig for worms,

dig for potatoes,

bale hay,

feed chickens and search for eggs (they weren't real),

and make butter.
Saturday Linsey and Hunter had soccer games. We invited Grandma and Grandpa to come and watch. I warned them to bring their umbrellas, but we were all a bit surprised by the downpour.

You can see how muddy the field was. There was standing water and lightening so they ended up having to cancel Hunter's game halfway through.

We waited around to see if
Linsey would play, but after a half hour of continual hard rain, they called her game off as well.

It was quite adventurous but we were glad to come home to a warm house where we could relax, eat good food, and watch a
BYU football game.
The rain has gone away, but I'm sure it will come again some other day.

It really was a WET weekend... is it this bad all winter??? Fun pictures though. Justin wished he would have brought the video camera to Abigail's soccer game, he said mud was flying everywhere.
Those faces Hunter makes remind me so much of your brother Anthony. Course, Jared is a pretty good face-maker too! Do you think eventually you guys will develop webbed feet?
Oh my gosh...you weren't kiddin' when you said you had a rainy weekend over the phone! I couldn't believe how muddy the soccer field looked in the pictures. Austin looks so cute in the last picutre. And Hunter...what a little ham in the picture pretending to eat the egg. Reminds me of something his dad would do! :)
Isn't playing soccer in the rain and mud a kids dream come true? We've been suffering from foggy mornings with the sun shining bright around 9am. I'm I crazy for wanting the weather to cool off. I'm missing fall but I hear it will come. ? Anyway, great pics Camille! Your kiddos are growing up fast!
