We always say "no, they are too small."
This year, the kids didn't really ask, they just grabbed a few carving tools and began working away while dad was busy working on the family pumpkin.
Who knew? They discovered that those teeny tiny pumpkins still have guts and teeny tiny seeds. Those cheep pumpkin carving tools that don't really hold up when you are carving a normal sized pumpkin work great for these minatures. Hunter had the idea to make a hole in the back side so a birthday candle could be stuck in his jack-o-lantern. Brilliant!

That's good to know...and they turned out great, too! I've always thought they were too small as well but now I just may have Natalie carve that teeny one afterall.
Cute! I thought they were too small too & just told Ella no....I'll have to pull the tools back out & help her do it!
I did not know and I am so glad that I do now. My kids love those little pumpkins too, we'll have to try it this year. I LOVE the second picture of Austin, he is so adorable. If you every decide to rent him out I want a turn. :) Thanks for the birthday wishes! It was a great day.

Very cute, I love how they look with a candle in them. Impressive that you've already carved your pumpkins.
