Hayden Lake

Hayden Lake is our new favorite vacation spot.  Mostly because of these people.

We've always had a fabulous time vacationing with and visiting the Butler Cousins, but we are really enjoying their new house on Hayden Lake.  It's like vacationing at an all inclusive resort.

They pulled out a slip n' slide bigger than anything I've seen before.

My boys still seemed to get going fast enough that they could have used a few more feet at the end.

Yes - that's Jared!

Hours and hours of fun.  This picture is one of my favorites.  Those are Jared's legs straight up in the air after he had done a somersault.  Quite entertaining to say the least.

Doesn't this look like boiling kids?

Check out this super cool tree house.  Emma and her cousin Gavin slept out there almost every night.

They had it set up with all of their animals and toys and whenever they got a chance to escape, this is where we would find them.

And if you didn't feel like climbing down the ladder, you could zip line right from the tree house.
Like I said, super cool!

Austin had fun with sidewalk chalk and riding bikes around the giant driveway.

I love boating and everything about it.  I may not be as fancy as I once was, but I'm up for any water sport and once I'm worn out - I simply love riding in the boat and watching everyone else take their turns.  I love eating lunch on the boat and I love dropping an anchor and swimming in the lake - I just love boating.

Milo did great tagging along with us.  We were a little nervous to bring him mainly because we didn't want our cute little pet to get snatched up by a wild animal or a large bird.  Happy to say he survived and in the meantime won the hearts of everyone there.  He is such a good little dog and it was fun to have him on our vacation.

We stayed several days which gave us some down time here and there.  I loved that all of the kids had plenty to do and no one really needed me.  I think Austin took this picture while I was out reading one morning.

And these two are the most adorable paddle boarders I've ever seen.
We all took turns - it was quite fun!

This little guy loves the water.
And he loves boating just as much as I do!

Super worn out after a really late night with the cousins.

I think Sunday was the only morning I woke up and Jared was still in bed.  He snuck away all of the other mornings and fished.  He just couldn't resist the lake that was right there, and he caught fish every time he went.  He was pretty impressed when I went out with him one afternoon and caught the biggest fish of the week though.  I don't love this picture of me but check out that fish!!

We also enjoyed Cafe Rio - twice, a double date to the movies, some Mexican Train, lots of laughs, and lots of memories.

Now... summer is officially at it's end and school is right around the corner.  Ready or not, here it comes!
