It really is a magical place.
To say that we had fun would be an understatement.
Disneyland is absolutely the most perfect place for a family vacation!

Our kids have never been on an airplane so it was a treat just being in the airport watching the planes come and go, anticipating their very first airplane ride.

Staying in a hotel is also a treat to them. Watching TV in bed... what could be better than that?

Maybe continental breakfast. Sugar cereal and donuts... every day. We also discovered that our kids really like boiled eggs.

That was all great, but the real fun started when we walked across the street for our Disneyland adventure! I loved how everything was decorated for Halloween.

Our first day there, we had a little rain. It kept the lines down so we didn't complain. In fact, I worried that our kids were getting a little spoiled and wondered if they would do okay once they actually had to wait in lines.

Since there wasn't much of a wait, I talked my girls into seeing a few princesses. Yes, I had to convince them... Emma isn't really into princesses and
Linsey has outgrown them. Sad.

There costumes were amazing and I loved how they were also acting their part.
These villans were hilarious.

By our second or third day, we realized that seeing Pluto was going to either make or break Emma's trip so we headed to
Toontown with our fingers crossed. We saw Minnie.

We saw her adorable house.

We saw Mickey's house and Pluto's dog bed, but no Pluto. I tried to convince Emma that this might be all we would see of him so she agreed to a picture, but was clearly disappointed.

Then, right near the dog pound, we saw him!
She was really excited when we bought her a Pluto of her own. How could we not?

He became her instant companion and even accompanied her on rides.

He got an occasional snack too.

I love this picture. Pure joy.

We all loved the Toy Story ride. It's like a 3D video game.

Emma and Austin loved the carousel which worked out great because it was right next to
Linsey and Hunter's favorite ride, the roller-coaster.

They LOVED California
Screemin', the big roller coaster that goes upside down! I bet they went on it twenty times while we were there. Once they went five times in a row.

It blasts off like a rocket.

I loved this shot of Jared and
Linsey.

I didn't get a picture of Emma's most favorite ride, but she loved a smaller roller coaster called Gadgets Go Coaster. I'm so glad my kids like roller coasters because they are also my favorite!
There was so much to do.

Of course we had to see Mickey.

The fireworks show was amazing. By the end of our stay at Disneyland, we decided that most everything they do is well-done. We loved all the rides of course, but the shows were also great. The characters costumes are amazing, and the whole experience truly is magical. We can't wait to go back!

Awww... I think we wore ourselves out, but it was worth it!

Hey-did you get any pictures of Mr. Incredible with the original? Matthew still thinks Jared is the real guy!
Looks like you had a great trip. I am so glad that you didn't have long lines to wait in. That makes it a lot more fun. I love all the pictures. We live about 35minutes from Disneyland. Next time you come down, if there is a next time, give us a call. We would love to meet up with you if you have time.
So, SO fun! I can't wait to go again, either. I loved seeing your pics. Emma and Pluto on the carousel has to be my favorite. So Emma!
Seeing all your cute pictures makes me motivated to do a blog also. The 3 princesses you got pics with are Sienna's 3 favorites.
What a great vacation, looks and sounds like it was a magical experience for everyone!!!!
I'm so happy you guys had a great time. We loved our three years living close to Disneyland, we went all the time. My kids haven't been for several years, I think you've gotten me excited to make another trip to SoCal.
AWESOME!!! Never having been to a Disney park myself, we're hoping to fit one in before the kids outgrow the magic. I got a kick out of the fact that your kids loved the boiled eggs! Mine too and we didn't discover it until staying in a hotel :) Well done and the last pic of Emma is priceless!
Oh my gosh! I had no idea that you went to Disney Land! Thank goodness for blogs to keep me in the loop :) So glad you could do something like this with your family before Jared starts school. Good for you guys.
