Yesterday Jared celebrated his 34th birthday ! He admitted that this year he was especially feeling old. Saturday, Jared organized a group of buddies to go play paintball and unfortunately only 2 games into the fun he went for a slide and hit something hard that dug a chunk right out of his knee. (Beware, I posted a picture below so DON'T scroll too far down if you would rather not see.) After 11 stitches, he came home thinking he'd be heading to church in the morning only to wake up and realize he could barely walk. It's been REALLY painful and has had him pretty laid up. He spent most of his birthday working from the bed or laying on the couch with his foot elevated. Today he managed to hobble down to his office to try out his new XBOX game. We love him and even though this birthday didn't go quite as we'd planned, he is the best husband and father to our family and we love him very much!

Happy Birthday Jared. Hope your knee is doing better. Since you weren't feeling your best on your day, we decided not embarass you to much with our picture collection. Guess it will just have to be a spontanous suprise.
Happy Birthday Jared. It's a bummer that you only got to play a couple of paint ball games but just think of the memories you will have of this birthday.
Happy Birthday, Jared! Man, one more year, and your age will round up to 40!! ha ha. You're still young, despite the injury. At least you got it while doing something cool. It's better than twisting your ankle on the curb or something, right? Anyway, you look as young as when I met you guys 12 years ago! (has it really been that long? sheesh!) Hope you heal soon! - Tiff
Ugggh! Poor Jared! Getting old really sucks doesn't it! Of couse the alternative isn't great either.
See, this is why I don't post that often. All the comments to me are from girls! I put up a manly post about fishing and only one person responds! Sheesh.
