Well, it's official. Austin James McInelly joined us May 8th at 4:30 at a whopping 9 lbs 4 oz. and 19.5 inches long (officially 2 weeks early). Mom and baby are doing well. Austin decided to change positions the night before coming and he ended up traverse (head on the left, feet on the right). And, since Camille's water was already broken, they couldn't move him around. The only way he was going to join us was through a C section. It was pretty traumatic for us. Going into the hospital expecting to go through labor and then learning you're going under the knife is kind of shocking. However, this is why we went to a hospital with a well respected doctor and everything worked out fine. C section babies sure are cute since they don't get all squished in the process.
Camille had some adverse reactions to the anesthesia, mainly dissiness and nausia but she's feeling much better now. We are still in the hospital now, hopefully coming home tomorrow or Monday.
The kids are really excited to have a new brother. I was on the phone with my Mom when she arrived at my house and I heard Emma tell her "Grandma Jeannie, the baby came out!" Hunter said "Yes" with both hands high in the air when he learned that the baby has the same color of hair as him. Linsey just wants to sit and hold him all of the time. We are really excited for the new adventure this little guy will bring to our family. I'll post some pictures when we get home.

Welcome to the C-section club! It's not the greatest club to belong to but what can you do? My two words of advice are to stay as long as they will let you and to make sure Jared brings a pillow to set in your lap to protect you from the seat belt when you go home. I can't tell you how happy it has made us to have a sweet new spirit join us as our sweet Gram's left us. Hope you all keep doing great. Oh and that is a grand way to celebrate Mother's Day!
Congrats! We just heard the news this morning. Bummer about the C-section though. Let us know what we can do to help out. Can't wait to meet the little guy - I hear he looks just like his big brother.
Happy Mother's Day Camille!!!
Congratulations!
Camille, two weeks early and a nine pounder...good thing he didn't bake for another two weeks. (You looked so small from the pic at your shower too!) So sorry about the C-section and sickness to the meds but the main deal is that he's here and healthy. Strange, my sis in law just had to have an unexpected c-sec as well, her daughter was coming out arm first? Sounds like the fam and kids are thrilled, such exciting news and what a great Mothers Day surprise! Can't wait to see pics.
On a side note: Jared that little pony cake looks fantastic, great job & sure little Emma was a happy little gal! Congrats again and enjoy your Mothers Day.
Congratulations! I can't wait to see the little guy. We are glad both Camille and Austin James (awesome name by the way) are doing great. I can't belive how big he is. You sure didn't look like you had a nine pounder in you.
Let us know if we can be of any help!
Congratulations you guys we are so happy for you. I am so excitted to see pictures of the little guy. What shock to have a c-section hope the recovery is ok.
Austin is simply adorable! I'm sorry he had to come out the way he did but I'm glad he's out and everyone's well.
Nine pounds sounds big but I swear he doesn't look like a big baby.
I'm so happy for all of you. Congrats!
Congrats! I am so sorry about the C section. I would have been mortifies as well, at least when I am not expecting it! Glad to here both are doing well! Happy Bday little Austin!
Woo woo! Congratulations! How exciting! He is a big guy! I'm glad she didn't go full-term. I actually preferred my c-section over the other... so hopefully her recovery won't be too awful. Can't wait to see pics!! Love you guys! What a great Mother's Day present! :)
Congratulations! We are so excited to meet the newest McInelly! I am impressed at how well you can pick the dates Camille. I woke up Friday morning and thought it's May 8th. Then when I heard you went in I was so suprised.
I hope you are feeling alright. Talk to you soon.
Congrats on another beautiful McInelly child! He is so cute and so sweet. It's too bad about the unexpected C-section and hope you recover quickly, Camille. Glad little Austin arrived safely, though. I agree with Tara though- he definitely did not look like he was 9 pounds- he looked so tiny!
Congratulations!!! Can't wait to see pictures of your newest addition!
Fantastic pictures, Congratulations, the baby looks terrific, hope Camille feels better soon. We send our love!!
