Thursday was supposed nice. I had checked the 10 day weather forecast on my ipod and there was a bright sunshine on Thursday, April 1st. Unfortunately, the weather man was wrong. Because we thought it was going to be nice, we planned a family bike ride to a nearby park where we would have a nice little picnic. My kids don't do well with last minute change of plans so even though the skies were gray and it had been pouring rain, they still wanted to go. The rain had stopped so we crossed our fingers and bundled up.
It's a bit of work to pack up the food, find everyone's bike helmets, attach the kid trailer to Jared's bike, pump up all the bike tires, etc. After a half hour of "getting ready", we were all set to go and then it began to rain. We were still in the driveway.
Of course we had to go and the kids thought it was great. Luckily dad had thought ahead and packed hot chocolate. Yum! Our picnic in the park wasn't ideal, but it was a fun memory anyway.

Emma fell asleep on the way home so she missed out on the ice cream sundaes. They were oh so good!
