Linsey finally got her brace off. Woo-Hoo!
She is thrilled not to have to wear that contraption anymore, however she still has to be careful about her activities. No monkey bars, no cartwheels, no biking or sports for another month or so. It will take a good 9 months before her bone is as strong as it was before the break.
Here is one of her X-rays taken a week after she broke it.
And here is one from last week. The doctor says over the next couple of years, her body will most likely remodel that bone and it will become straight. That's good, because while we were warned she would loose a little length in her arm, we were surprised at how drastic it ended up being.
And in other random news...
We went to the fair last week. I forgot my camera but we got a couple pictures on Jared's phone.
Austin LOVES his binky, maybe more than any of my other kids did. I love this picture, two at once and if you look closely, he's got a third in his hand... just in case.
Grandma Jeanne let Emma borrow her flat iron and Emma has been having lots of fun straightening her hair, well I do it but she wants me to do it all the time. I love her curls, but it is fun to try something different. It just makes her look so grown up.

You guys have been busy lately! I'm so glad UW is official, although we will miss Jared while he's in school, I'm sure he'll be crazy busy, but we can still hang out Camille!! Congrats to Linsey for losing the brace!! I know how long she's been looking forward to it!! And poor sweet Austin, I can't believe he stayed in the basket long enough for two pictures, what a trooper!!
Congratulations to Jared (and you all)! We will just pray that after graduation you will still be in our ward, that is, if you want! You kids are so adorable and you are so photogenic--not fair! ;)
That last picture of Austin totally reminds me of what we used to do to my little brother when we were younger. I even remember putting my little sister out on the front steps of the house with a sign that said, "Please take care of me. I have no parents!" Then we rang the doorbell and ran away and left my poor little sister sitting there all be herself in nothing but a diaper. Poor younger siblings...
Boy, Linsay's break is just plain shocking! How ever did you guys make it through that? So great seeing you! Lots of fun updates Camille!
The girls were at awe over Linseys arm and the size difference in the two, (they are avid followers of your blog since I have the most recent updated links on the side bar of our blog.) She was the topic of conversation after scripture reading the other night, so the whole fam had to take a peek afterwards, happy to hear the braces are off! Congrats to Jared, what a fun venture. My dad went back to school U of W also while we were growing up, go huskies! Emma cracks me up with those pics of her and Austin, totally reminds me of Ellie and Josh when he was a baby- we have many pics to remember them by, too sweet...and now of course Brooklynne (however, Brooklynne doesn't take any of it any more- she is so over being Ellie's doll! It's always fun to see what you guys are up to and to watch your sweet family grow.
